Trial By Ordeals (4/7)

Few centuries down the road after the reign of King Arthur, most of Europe went frenzy about maintaining their laws and regulations. They began to engage in brutal customs and rituals to determine the “justice” in those cases which lacked proper eye-witnesses and any kind of physical evidence to prove the innocence of the victim.

They were called ordeals and were always carried out in the Churches by high-ranking officials. Amongst these ordeals, three of them really stood out. One of them was when the accused these “trial by ordeal” in which they were forced to dip their arm in the boiling water, and if their arm came out unharmed that means, they are innocent and God is protecting them.
