A lot of literature students and history students might be aware of King Henry VIII ‘s treatment of his wives. An easy way to remember the dates of his partners is “Divorced, beheaded, died, divorced, beheaded, survived”. But this was not the only bizarre thing Henry VIII did.
He used to have people called “Grooms of Stool”. And their job was the most interesting one ( obviously, not). They were kept to wipe his bottom. During his reign, he had four such people for this ultimate task, all of whom were knighted.
